The Dal Bianco family owns Masottina, which is a family-owned enterprise. Understanding the family’s strong ties to the land, to the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, and to their most significant commodity, wine, is essential. Their vineyard, which spans 350 hectares (half of which is inside the historic district of Conegliano Valdobbiadene), is the proud culmination of a lengthy family tradition.
According to the family, Adriano, the family’s head oenologist, declares the start of harvest season after inspecting each vineyard to determine if the grapes have reached optimum ripeness. A painstaking quest of excellence that continues in the cellar, where a solid manufacturing structure has been equipped with all the advances needed to extract the most from such excellent raw ingredients throughout the previous decades.
Masottina has based all of its sparkling wine and wine production phases on the concept that achieving a goal serves as a catalyst for continued improvement. Masottina wines are the fruit and together interpreters of a scenario of great oenological value recognized all over the world: the historic area of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the cradle of Prosecco Superiore DOCG, and the lands of Venice, in keeping with the design based on excellence that has made it a reference company for quality.
All processes are carried out in accordance with internal disciplinary guidelines that take into account harvest timings and varietal variances. Precision viticulture’s guiding principles in the vineyard are balance, regularity, and the organoleptic integrity of the grapes: all interventions are geared at preserving the vegetative-productive balance at all stages of vine growth. Respectful oenology is done in the cellar, a technical heart tucked in the slopes of Ogliano.
This 2021, Masottina has joined Singapore Awards 2021 and won TWO GOLD MEDAL and a SILVER Medal Awards in this prestigious competition:
