The Bauchet Champagne house is located in Bisseuil, a small Champagne village in the Marne valley and 10 km from Epernay, the Champagne capital.
Since 1920, Bauchet family have been cultivating and harvesting their vineyards from father to son. Four generations of dedicated winegrowers working with passion and reason a unique terroir covering 34 hectares in all. A real Champagne estate, with an extended and rich variety of vines spread out on different crus of this appellation. It allows the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties to give us an authentic, elegant and high-quality Champagne which expresses the personality of its terroir.
Cuvée CONTRASTE Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs 100% Pinot Noir

It brings out the contrast there is between a white wine produced only from black grapes coming from a terroir of Pinot Noir – the Côte des Bars – and a Premier Cru terroir in Bisseuil. It is presented with a low Extra-Brut dosage of 5.5g/l, displaying a finely balanced identity between terroir and know-how.

Saint Nicaise was the 11th Bishop of Reims in the fourth century. He is the patron saint of the city of the coronation of French kings. His statue stands on the cathedral, at the Portal of the Saints, close by the smiling angel. A few miles away our cuvée was created as a tribute to this region of Champagne, our original home-region. The connoisseur of authentic cuvées will find in this one the character of the truly great Champagne cuvées.

It is a cuvée that is typical of the Champagne vineyards and their chalky soil. There are no less than 7 different crus from different terroirs of the “Champagne” appellation coming together in this Champagne which is unique in the region. The elegance and generosity of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes truly express the Bauchet style.
